We need all hands on deck to get a proposed Constitutional Amendment on the 2024 General Election ballot. This requires the Supervisor of Elections’ receipt of more than 900,000 signed petitions by February 2024. Floridians Protecting Freedoms is a collective statewide effort to accomplish this life-saving task.
DeSantis’ six-week abortion ban usurps women’s right to control our own bodies. It is an insult to women, families and doctors, who are now hesitant to help even during emergencies like ectopic pregnancies. Many women are being forced to wait until their lives are at risk before medical interventions can be legally undertaken.
The Amendment text: Limiting government interference with abortion — Except as provided in Article X, Section 22, no law shall prohibit, penalize, delay, or restrict abortion before viability or when necessary to protect the patient’s health, as determined by the patient’s healthcare provider.
You can sign one petition, get your family and friends to sign petitions and/or help maximize our results by joining other volunteers at various local venues for no more than 2 hours with clipboards full of petitions and pens in hand.
