From Pastor Laurie Hafner, “In a day and time when the State of Florida has attempted to revise Black history, restrict diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, and has experienced a rise in white supremacy groups, it is important that we of all ages and backgrounds learn, share, work, and grapple together in the work of anti-racism.

Playwright Deborah Plummer, a psychologist, educator, author, and founder of “Getting to We,” has written a frank, funny, enlightening play that thoughtfully examines race relations through the lens of cross racial friendships and their untapped benefits. Dr. Plummer will also be with us at both performances to lead post-show conversations inspiring us to achieve racial equity one friend at a time.”

Performances are Saturday evening, October 7 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday afternoon, October 8, at 1:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary.
