Miami-Dade Democratic Party Election
New Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary

The Miami-Dade Democratic Party (MD Dems) has three vacant positions to fill: Chair, First Vice Chair and Secretary. The election is set for Friday, April 26th and ALL DEC MEMBERS ARE NEEDED as this will be a crucial election for the success of Miami-Dade in electing and re-electing Democrats in the 2024 Presidential Election! 

This meeting will be held at the Miami Fire Fighters Memorial Hall located at 8000 NW 21st St, Miami, FL 33122. Doors open at 7pm, and the meeting will begin at 8pm sharp!

REGISTER TODAY TO ATTEND 

 While MD Dems understands that this date may coincide with Passover for some members, we encourage those unable to attend to consider appointing a proxy. Your participation, whether in person or through a proxy, is vital as we elect our new Chair, First Vice Chair and Secretary.

MD Dems is committed to facilitating the proxy process and will provide detailed instructions in a follow-up email. Let's make this election a momentous occasion that sets the course for our organization's future.

Mark your calendars for Friday, April 26th, and stay tuned for more information regarding the proxy process. Your involvement is key to our continued success.

Candidates interested in running for one of the three vacant offices should complete this Google form by April 22nd at 5 PM to be included on the MD Dems website. The MD Dems Communications Working Group will be posting candidate information on the website and sending out regular emails to update the membership. MEDICARE FOR ALL IN FLORIDA. Wednesday April 17th at 8 p.m. the advocacy group  MEDICARE FOR ALL FLORIDA will have its monthly meeting. AMY WEINTRAUB, the Reproductive Rights Program Director for PROGRESS FLORIDA will speak about the Abortion Rights Amendment (Amendment 4). RSVP by clicking  HERE.

STATE-WIDE INDIVISIBLE TASK FORCE (SWIFT). Tuesday April 23rd at 5:30-6:30pm our friends at SWIFT Indivisible will have their monthly Collaboration Call to offer connections, resources, and support to Indivisible activists across Florida. They are still solidifying the agenda.  RSVP here.

LEARN TO PERSUADE BY USING WORDS THAT WIN. Wednesday May 15th at 8pm will be a workshop to learn about the ongoing work of WORDS THAT WIN, whose work focuses on effective framing of progressive issues to ensure the most people will listen. ABOUT CORAL GABLES DEMOCRATIC CLUB

The Coral Gables Democratic Club is committed to doing everything possible to elect Democrats to all levels of government, from Coral Gables to The White House. We conduct Monthly Meetings to introduce fellow Democrats to Democratic candidates running for office and experts on topics of interest to Democrats on the second Tuesday of every month. Meetings are live from 6:00-8:00pm at a local venue (including refreshments and networking!). The Coral Gables Democratic Club (CG Dems) maximizes our impact by partnering with many other Miami-Dade Democratic Party clubs and caucuses plus progressive groups, including the Blue Wave Coalition of Miami-Dade, and the Florida Democratic Party.

CG Dems also engages volunteers in activities and events to inform and activate Democrat voters in the Gables and beyond to maximize Democrat voter turnout. We facilitate voter registration and Vote by Mail re-enrollment or enrollment. Our dynamic and committed board of directors’ current focus is to get Democrats elected and re-elected in the August Primary & Local Election and November 2024 Presidential Election.
